This Bank building is situated on the recently developed Kirchberg site, just outside the city of Luxemburg. The main challenge was to integrate the imposing building volume on a narrow but long piece of land. One side is built on an underground garage with reflecting ponds and waved pergola’s that lead to green elevator pavilions.
The other side contains generous outside dining areas and step up to a landscaped garden with limestone walls and rich mixed shrub plantings with a tree collection. The land differences and the limestone walls combined with the lush plantings, make it into quite a dramatic experience.
