  • The Alnwick garden is a 5ha big private garden open to the public. It is located at the town limits of Alnwick in Northumberland at 10 minutes of the Northsea coast between Newcastle and Edinburgh. The backbones of the garden are a curvilinear cascade and hornbeam arbours that lead to a geometric ornamental garden with herbaceous borders and roses. Close to the visitors pavilion a rose garden and a bamboo labyrinth on raised beds joined are by a water garden, consisting of water sculptures of William Pye in a configuration of clipped yew. To the east a poisonous plants garden and a cherry orchard are open to visitors, but all the other elements like a spiral and a garden of the senses still have to be built.
